Description
High Country Community Health (HCCH) is located in the mountains of North Carolina’s beautiful “High Country” and provides quality, patient-centered, culturally appropriate, affordable and compassionate care that serves the whole person. HCCH is headquartered in Boone North Carolina, and operates ten medical, dental, and behavioral health clinics all about an hour away or less from Boone. Our EMR software system is remote hosted, and our computer systems are utilized by over 200 end users.
This full-time position reports to the Chief Information Officer and is responsible for
Managing the IT staff and for the planning, operation, and management of all computer network, hardware, software, EMR, and cyber security systems throughout the organization.
This position also researches new products and systems and makes recommendations to senior management.
This role is responsible for purchasing, upgrading, supporting, and maintaining the computer systems, servers, server backup systems, network equipment and network security.
Areas of responsibility include:
Managing implementation projects, ensuring the integrity and availability of existing platforms, application delivery, and telecommunications.
Documenting and developing new and existing processes, and developing IT policies and procedures.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of healthcare IT management experience. Other desired experience includes managing IT staff (Network Administrators, Software Analysts, Software Trainers, IT Help Desk Staff, Infrastructure Technicians, etc.) and experience in customer service, IT service management, applications development, change management, disaster recovery planning, business continuity management, AI technology, asset management, project management, and information systems security management. A Bachelor’s degree in an information technology management related field and 3 or more years of experience in healthcare IT management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
