Sammi Silar

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and School-Based Behavioral Health Specialist

Sammi Silar is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker associate and School-Based Behavioral Health Specialist at HCCH. Sammi sees patients at Valle Crucis Elementary and Cove Creek Elementary.


Sammi obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University in 2018. After gaining professional experience in the High Country, Sammi went on to obtain her Master of Social Work with a concentration in Individuals and Families from Appalachian State University in 2024.


With a deep passion for working with children, adolescents and their families, Sammi is dedicated to providing compassionate, strength-based and trauma-informed care. She takes an individualized approach, focusing on each patient's unique needs to support their growth and healing.


Outside of work, Sammi enjoys hiking with her dogs, practicing yoga, gardening, paddling on the river, and spending time with friends and family!
