Liz Hemby
Licensed Clinical Social Worker associate and Behavioral Health Provider
 Liz is a Behavioral Health and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Specialist at High Country Community Health. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in human services from Appalachian State University in 2019. Liz then attended East Tennessee State University to obtain her Master of Social Work degree and simultaneously completed a certificate program in Clinical Addictions Counseling Studies. During her time in graduate school, she provided clinical behavioral health services to patients at the ETSU Addiction Medicine Fellowship who were experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health difficulties. Additionally, Liz was involved with ETSU’s Institute for Integrated Behavioral Health, where she received extensive training in providing evidence-based and person-centered behavioral health services while working in an integrated care setting. Liz aims to cultivate a safe space for her patients where they feel free to explore their concerns without fear of judgment or shame. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hosting, cooking, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog, Eddie. Â
