Dr. Thomas Meek

Primary Care / Addiction Medicine / Osteopathic Medicine

Dr. Meek earned his medical degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002.  He completed his residency at the University of New England in 2006 where he specialized in Family Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (NMM).  In addition to traditional medical training, this approach offers patients manual therapies for acute and chronic pain syndromes with a focus to avoid the over-utilization of prescribed medications.  Throughout his career, Dr. Meek has had an additional focus on the treatment of Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and became board certified in Addiction Medicine in 2024.  He has an extensive background in medical education and continues to be involved in clinical teaching.


Dr. Meek sees primary care patients in the Morganton and the East Burke offices and also provides consultations for SUD and Osteopathic treatment.  In his down time - he enjoys music, the outdoors, and travelling with his wife and daughter.
